New Orleans Infused Wedding | Duke Chapel | Washington Duke Inn | NC Wedding Planner
Sweet Mariah and Paul - probably 2 of the most warm and kind people you'll ever meet. Their wedding day was all about family and the best of friends. Celebrating in the heart of Duke's campus, a place dear to their hearts, M+P hopped on a golf cart to take the ride of their lives - to be married at Duke Chapel. With deep Southern roots originating in New Orleans, we celebrated with a King Cake flown in from Louisiana, a 2nd Line complete with handkerchiefs and umbrellas for the Bride and Groom, and naturally a seafood spread fit for a Cajun king! Along side their enormous wedding party - 14 on each side, these people are loved - Mariah and Paul, said I Do and walked into their new married life to the sounds of an incredible bagpiper, piping Scotland the Great! Such a treat!
The wind didn't want to completely cooperate, but M+P of course needed a gold balloon monogram for their golf cart escort to the church!
Mariah wanted to incorporate her New Orleans roots and had a King Cake flown in directly from New Orleans for guests to enjoy! The cake was topped with football helmets from Mariah and Paul's Alma Maters.
A monogrammed ice sculpture - yes please! Beautiful spread by The Washington Duke Inn!
Bring on the Second Line! This classic Nola tradition was a sure hit at the reception and got everyone up and out of their seats to parade around with the new Mr. and Mrs.
The night was topped off by the singing of a four star general! Guests loved hearing the old war tunes and joining in with some American classics!
Thank you to the best vendors for helping to make M + P's night one for the books!
