Duke Gardens Wedding | Alex & Carlos

Everyone knows a July wedding in North Carolina is nothing short of a hot affair! Not only was the weather hot, but the dance was on fire all night long at this wedding at Duke Gardens, on the Duke University campus in Durham, NC. This unique celebration blended Alex’s Mexican heritage with Carlos’s Columbian heritage and made for the perfect combination for a great party.

By incorporating bright colors and fun patterns into the design scheme, Alex and Carlos were able to add personal details to every aspect of their day. The small intimate wedding highlighted the vibe of a family dinner party.

Guests were escorted to a U-shaped table to find their seats, where custom Spanish tiles awaited them. The splash of color added to the perfect pop of pattern to the neutral tablescape. The formation of the tables conveyed the home feeling which added to the feeling of a traditional Spanish hosted dinner. Not to be outshined, the ginger jar pattern added the perfect amount of Southern charm to honor the location of the wedding.

Having a shared love for craft cocktails always makes for a great night! The bar menu featured authentic signature cocktails. After cocktail hour, guests were treated to an authentic Mexican cuisine dinner that did not disappoint.

Now onto the dancing! Alex and Carlos dazzled on the dance floor while they entertained guests with a traditional salsa dance. Once the dance floor was open, the dancing never stopped!
