Duke Chapel Ceremony and Fearrington Wedding!
We were so excited to be a part of this gorgeous Fearrington Barn wedding.
When we first talked with Jessica and Jason, they said they were most excited about, “marrying their best friend”. They met at Duke but are now living in New York City and wanted a wedding that was elegant, classic and romantic. They achieved all of their goals with a gorgeous Duke Chapel ceremony complete with French Blue Bridesmaid’s dresses and a first look at the Chapel’s famous arcade arches. Guests were transported from the Chapel to Fearrington Village and welcomed by a bluegrass band and two signature drinks – the rain held out for a perfect outdoor cocktail hour! The Barn at Fearrington was adorned with sparkling lights, dove grey linens and overflowing with soft, white bouquets of flowers. Jessica and Jason performed a beautiful first dance to their favorite Phish song and the toasts ranged from heart-felt wishes to knee-slapping hilarity. After dinner, the band lit up the dance floor and guests were encouraged to change into flip flops, feather boas and sunglasses while sequined singers kept everyone dancing and the photo booth opened for fun snapshots. Black and white cow graphics on muslin bags filled with Cowtails gave a fond farewell to guests as they lined up for a sparkler exit leading to a classic white 1934 Chevy. Jessica’s sweet demeanor and Jason’s robust Greek background were such a fun mix to work. What a joy it was to see these best friends become husband and wife!
